How CHL works

From container release to final POD.

We build the plan around the container, cargo, facilities, and final receiver before dispatch.

  1. Confirm the shipment

Review the gateway, container, commodity, weight, dates, destination, and special requirements.

  2. Pull the container

Coordinate availability, terminal appointment, chassis, driver, and receiving.

  3. Handle the freight

Deliver directly or unload, stage, rework, and transfer it to outbound equipment.

  4. Deliver and document

Confirm final delivery, collect POD, return the empty, and organize the paperwork.

Can CHL handle the entire move from the port to final delivery?+

Yes. We can coordinate drayage, warehouse handling when needed, outbound trucking, delivery appointments, shipment updates, and final POD through one CHL contact.

Which ports does CHL serve?+

We coordinate freight through major U.S. ports, rail ramps, warehouses, and inland markets. Send us the origin and destination and we’ll confirm the plan for that gateway.

Can you deliver the container directly without transloading it?+

Yes. If the receiver can accept the container, we can arrange direct drayage delivery and empty return. Transloading is used when the freight needs storage, rework, different equipment, or a longer inland move.

Can CHL handle overweight, oversized, or unusual freight?+

Yes. Send the dimensions, weight, commodity, photos, and loading or delivery requirements so we can determine the equipment, permits, and handling plan.

What do you need for a port-to-door quote?+

Send the port or rail ramp, container number or size, commodity, weight, final destination, availability date, delivery requirements, and any warehouse or special handling needs.
